Come join us at mood room for the opening reception of UNPOPULAR, a brand new Pop Art concept featuring works by Isse Maloi, IZE, and FunWOW opening March 16, 6-9 PM at the Mood Room, Park Central, 3121 N 3rd Ave STE 100, Phoenix, Arizona.

UNPOPULAR is considered Pop Art; a glamorous satire on the falsity of social status. The exhibit pokes fun at the same things it celebrates – youth, fashion, celebrity, and luxury.

Isse Maloi – Arizona native Isse Maloi has always been captivated by the street and pop art scene., appreciating the diversity each genre has to offer and finding a way to bring those ideas to canvases. As an art enthusiast, Isse has a passion for supporting artists which he is inspired by. His keen eye and detailed work show his interpretation of past and current styles. His large-scale pieces evoke nostalgia with a modern perspective.

IZE – Ize is a fine artist and muralist whose primary medium is aerosol, acrylic, and stencil. Each work contains the signature polka dot and line theme consistent with the IZE brand. Themes include pop icons, literary references, high fashion, athletes, and childhood imagery.

FunWOW – FunWOW is a vibrant, pop-art brand based out of Scottsdale, Arizona. Each one-of-a-kind piece is designed digitally and hand-painted on canvas. Explosions, airplanes, and good hair are popular themes in FunWOW’s world. FunWOW’s work is held by Global Inheritance (Coachella x TRASHed Art of Recycling Exhibit 2017-2022 at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival) and in private collections throughout the United States and New Zealand.

UNPOPULAR is on exhibit at the Mood Room through April 13, 2023.
